In this crazy, tumultuous world, I find I need more of God's peace every day, do you too?
It seems now more than ever that storms are raging around us both figuratively and literally. However, I know the Lord has gifted us with His boldness to say to the storms PEACE BY STILL! Be encouraged today for it says in John 14:27 that the Lord is giving you a gift of peace of mind and heart!
This month we start off with a five-day devotional on Finding Peace in the Lord. The devotional pairs will the 30-day Bible Plan where we focus on verses about the PEACE of God. We know that the peace of God passes all understanding (Philippians 4:7), let's dive deeper into learning what else God says about peace. (Yes, I know there are 31 days in May, but with a 30 day plan you can have a catch-up day!)

I am resting in the promise that the Lord has great plans for us, plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope from Jeremiah 29:11, with this hope we can have peace in the LORD.
Let's soak in His words of peace for us daily. This Bible plan is light on the number of verses, actually you will find over half of the days in this Bible plan only include ONE verse. I encourage you to read each daily verses at least twice to get these important scriptures in your soul. On days where only one verse is listed, I suggest you write out the verse and repeat the verse at least four times throughout the day.
To the storms around you declare today: Peace be Still!
Psalm 16:8 NLT I know the Lord is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me.
We are not to fear the things of the world but are to have peace in the Lord. We know from scripture that we will have trial in this world but with Jesus we can have peace in the midst of any trials.
Philippians 4:6-7 NIV Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

Dear Jesus, thank You for today and for this dear reader. I pray You give this person incredible peace today! May you flood them with peace in chaos during this turbulent time in our world history. May you show them how you are by their side every moment of the day and that you have all things in control. Lord, I pray you grant each person amazing sleep because they have found a renewed peace resting with you. In Jesus glorious name, Amen.
